About Mesa County Tennis

Mesa County Tennis is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization offering tennis for all ages and levels of play. We provide a clear "Developmental Pathway" designed to help each child progress from one level to the next. With core fundamentals at the forefront of our program, our progressive approach is simple, dynamic, and fun. Our experienced and enthusiastic staff help children grow as players and, more importantly, as healthy individuals. Our team prides itself on teaching and mentoring children the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, positive attitude, and respect. All our programs instill this Mesa County Tennis philosophy. We are proud of the Colorado Youth Tennis Association (CYTA) and Net Generation members.

Lessons & Clinics

In 2025, Mesa County Tennis saw a significant increase in participation, enrolling over 400 juniors aged 5–18 in our lessons and clinics. Each four-week session averaged 100 enthusiastic junior players. 30% of our scholarship funds assisted families that could not afford registration fees. 10% of donated funds went into new tennis racquets and tennis-related apparel.

League Play

In 2025, Mesa County Tennis enrolled over. We also offered League Play for three different age groups. Our Junior League consists of young players just starting in general play, ages 8-10. Last summer's Junior League enrolled 40 participants. Our Middle School League, designed for players ages 11-13, had 45 participants, while our High School League, catering to players ages 14-18, registered over 110 Varsity and JV-level players. 40% percent of our scholarship funds assisted families needing registration fees and tennis equipment.

Our Scholarship Program

Our Scholarship Program has made a significant difference in the lives of many families and junior players. As we prepare for the upcoming 2026 Summer Season, I ask our tennis community to continue supporting this impactful initiative. Your contributions, no matter the size, are integral to the success of our program. Over fifteen generous contributors kindly donated $5,500 last spring. Mesa County Tennis recognized the importance of our sponsors' impact on our junior tennis program. Without your continued support, families in need would not have the opportunity to learn and enjoy this lifelong sport of Tennis.
